Register your child for an Empire House Team - RWB/8U through Midget/18U.

Our House Teams participate in the Empire Amateur Hockey Conference. The program emphasizes the development of individual skills, as well as team play, respect for all players, and sportsmanship.

Ages
This is a competitive program for the established skater between the ages of 7 and 18.
Note: your child should have completed either one full year of the Beginner program (or other Learn-to-Skate Program) or the Pony program.
Players must be age 7 or older OR have completed one year in the Pony program. Advanced skating skills are required to register for the 14U or 18U Teams.
When
September - March
Evaluations for team placement will occur in the spring prior to the season. While attendance at the evaluations is not required, players who do not attend may be placed on any team with space available. WYHA makes every effort to place players on a team at the proper level.
Practices
Empire teams should expect to practice one to two times per week.
Every other week will feature a clinic session run by Relentless Hockey.
Games
Empire teams play games on the weekends against other Empire league teams in the area.
Equipment
Participants are required to supply full hockey equipment including a certified hockey helmet with face mask, a neck guard, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, single blade hockey skates, and an ice hockey stick.
2025-2026
Registration is now open for the 2025-2026 season. If you were not at evaluations in the spring/were not notified who your child's coach would be, please contact Gino Sementa house@wyha.com. If you are unsure if you put down a deposit after house evaluations, please contact Chrissy Sapere registrar@wyha.com.
We are excited this year to offer a progressive discount for families with multiple players in the program! The second player you will receive a $50 discount, the third player will a $100 discount, fourth player $150 discount and fifth player $200 discount.
